Could some one please tell me how you know when the primary chain needs replacing, in an Evolution motor?

Check that it has not lost any rollers, and pull the spark plugs and get the rear wheel of the ground put in top gear and turn the engine over a little bit at a time and feel for tight spots or extra loose spots that will mean that its stretched in places and needs replacing, plus as bankok bob said if you run out of adjustment, you may need to replace the sprockets to do the job properly.

when the chain is off wash it & lay it down flat & push & pull from each end & see how much the pin move in the links ,or on the sprocket pull the chain around if you can pick the links up 1/2 way around  its streach on not sitting on the teeth proper
