    hi guys , just had rigid frame pan head at my place , owner dropped it in to me to check out why blowing smoke etc , after oil change ,this oil in it was that thick and chunky , he made 2 qiuck oil changes and bingo , lots of smoke , this bike was viewed in states via pictures with eng being rebuilt  just before he bought it  , and he then purchased this bike , i pulled this eng down ,and ,??????  , valve seats cut to deep , vavles rs, bores were .060 thou over ,  they were finnished , lifters and alloy blocks totally shot , i have never seen lifter lower roller supports  worn .015 form the alloy blocks etc  , bigend had .010 movement ready to die ,conrode side play worn in to fly wheels ,  crank end play had worn shims and bearing houseings in cases , this eng had done what seems to around a million miles , give or take a few , owner of bike now very disappointed with his purchase and the supplied pics , the oversea guy wont answere his emails now , bugga , any , be carefull guys if contemplateing buying old cruiser from there , try and get as much imfo as possible , cheers

    Nice to have someone state side to have a look for you if possible, not the first and wont be the last to get burnt. Name the guy or dealer ?

    the owner  now imported it him self i believe , he was shocked at the wear in this eng ,i have never seen a eng as bad ,  only cases are any good and they need tidy up as well ,

    Same thing could happen if buying in Aus too. You need to be careful everywhere. There are some really dishonest dicks out there.
