Looking for a good bluetooth communication solution for bike to bike contact or rider/pilion passenger comms. Suggestions for open face and full face helmets welcome. If you can include your opinion on pros and cons of what you suggest, that would also be great. Cheers

    Hi,

I have the Senna smh05 as all I wanted was basic bluetooth to phone and helmet to helmet. Works great, I use it with an open face helmet and most people can't tell i am on the bike when they call (and I have V & H straightshots!). Also, when my wife is pillion we leave the intercom open and can just chat as we go, very clear and easy to use. Pay a bit more if you want fm radio, I can listen to music from my phone if needed but rarely do. I think the smh10 has a few more features but the 05 works well for all i need it to do.

    Peter

I've a set of Sena smh10's (3 years). Have had a great run with these. 4-way between riders worked a treat for those loooong distance days. The occasional pairing issues I've found are more operator error. Very clear coms, phone, but speakers could be beefed up a bit for music ( if thats whats most important to you). Software updatable via internet.

Sena Smh20, the latest & greatest

I wish it was a little smaller but once you use it, you will wonder how you survived without it

There are many reviews on the Sena products look them up & i am sure you will be happy

    oneup has a point

I have Cardo Scala Riders, the wife had her Spyder in for a service today, had her as pillion on my bike from Bills in enfeild to ashford hospital for my doctors appointment, then to Marion westfield, back to Bills.
    round trip 45Km
whine, whine, whine. the badlander seat pillion is thin and narrow. APPARENTLY it hurt her bum all day I hear this.

picked up her bike and rode home, 4.5 hours. I cant remember how many times I heard about how uncomfortable she is.

    do you really want that?

Thnx for the replies. For those who take their other halves as pillions, i'm a step ahead and never do that. My young son comes with me and i also want the comms when cruising with a mate. Thanks again.

Love the comentary Boxa. Yes, be careful what you wish for. I use the Nolan bluetooth, but it only fits Nolan helmets. Works great for phone and music while solo, was going to get one for the missus, but now not so sure!

We'll that's steered me away from getting a set.

Riding my bike with the cook on the back is the only piece and quiet I get.
