    Hi All

Wondering if anyone's felt the need to trade into a different screen for a Rushmore 2014 Ultra Limited. I'm about 6'1".  I know inseam is a relevant factor in this equation.

Any thoughts on different brands, heights, availability and where from would be appreciated.

Have noticed with the open face, the wind just grabs the top of the helmet and sets up a vibration in ya head that after 1hr feels like your eye balls are gunna fall out. I did start with a peak.... but pulled that off pretty quick which vastly improved things.
Was hoping some one might have experimented with Windsplitter or Clearview screens.

I bought an HD aftermarket screen that was 7" from memory. Too short. Finally bought a Klockwerx 8.5" tinted screen - UNREAL !!! Have a look at my old posts to find a picture (see 'My Pics' over under my name and look for the grey Limited). You need to measure (whilst in a comfortable riding position), the distance from the top of the front cowl to the underside of your nose - that is the perfect height of the screen you require.

I am 6'2" and have fitted a Clearview screen which is the same height as the factory screen.

The Clearview screen has a a slight recurve and it improves the buffetting however it doesn't fit very well and I had to silastic the gaps where the screen exits the fairing to keep dust and water out of the fairing.

I'm liaising with the guys from Long Ride Shields in the US. They are every helpful. They make a nice product too. I'll be getting one of their tinted recurve screens. www.longrideshields.com/

I should add that I'm 6'3" and the standard OEM screen on my 14 Ultra is ok. I feel the slightest bit of wind hitting the very top of my helmet - which is pretty good considering I'm sitting a fair bit higher than the screen. I'm mainly after a tinted screen to compliment the blacked out look I also went with my bike.

I'm 6'3", and the standard screen is just fine for me.

Just did a 10 day 5,000Km trip and no complaints.

The Clearview has to be ordered from the USA and the overall experience was disappointing.

An extract of one of my emails below says it all

    "
Wow this is disappointing, you take 5 days to respond to an email you don't comply with your despatch time frames as well - I placed my order with Clearview on January 19.

You need to amend the despatch details to three and half weeks from receipt of order and also add that it takes 5 to 6 days to respond to an email enquiry. This is very poor customer service.

If the slow despatch and email response time information was on your web page I would have ordered another brand.

Please pass my comments on to the Clearview Management."

The video is a strong case for the taller screen. I fitted lower wind deflectors to the fork legs on my Street Glide and the bufferting difference was the same as your video.

Are you riding with the front cowl vent open?

I'm 6'3" ish and I added a 10" light smoked sports windshield. Works very well without looking too tall for the bike.
