yep I did the same hilly different style lift to yours but I hated the wheel vise so changed it to a wheel chock before I even put a bike on
never had a problem with it from pw80 ,dirtbikes , jap bikes or Harleys so much better in my opinion and can trust it a lot more

    Hi Hilly

Just wondering where you got the camber over?

Got me one of these. Had it for 4 years now & hasn't let me down so far.
Fabricated a hinged flap at back to allow for easier rear wheel removal especially for a fatty/heritage bikes. Made it slightly longer to allow a HD to fit on comfortably.
OK for a weekend mechanic as such although son thinks its part of his playground equipment so cant be too bad.
As for side clamp yes agreed it is a POS.

Aldi had some really good cam over wheel chocks. I ended up buying 2, 1 for each lift. Wish I had bought 2 more to bolt to the concrete as the bikes stand up straight in them taking up less room in my shed. I could ride the softail into one and just step off, it would stand there on its own without a strap. If it was a permanent thing I would set up a short clip on brace as a just in case. $80.00 from my very vague memory.
