My Dyna just got back from workshop for a bearing replacement in the gearbox---for some reason the fuel gauge/cap is loose (??????????)----ive tried pushing it back on but it doesnt want to seat properly in the cup.   The gasket is fine  and i dont want to damage anything. 

Is there a trick or to pushing the gauge/cap back in that Im missing?

Any help would be appreciated.

Dan, make sure you ain't got the wire'n bunched up under the gauge
