Hi

I havw a 2012 Ultra CVO FLHTCUSE7 done about 8K.  I have developed a squeal from the clutch when disengaging, I have heard that this is not uncommon in CVO's. Has anyone heard of this or had any experiece with this issue?

 

 

 

Sounds like a inner clutch,primary bearing might need replacing.

Pulled clutch pack out last night and found the 3 discs closest the gearbox were dry. Soak them in ATF for a couple of hours and reinstalled. No slippage or squeal, clutch is noticeably smoother in operation.

Also I have changed the oil in Primary over to Synthetic ATF (Dexron 4&5) has anyone had any negitive results with using atf?

 

Not yet. I use Valvoline ATF type F. All good so far on 2012 ultra.
