I actually like the height of the pedal now - I can get my boot under the pedal for the long rides. Try looking on you tube - there will be something there for sure.

I have changed to rear brake pedals. One on my Road King and one now on my Ultra. I put the extended levers on on both occassions. I too used the Softbrake pedal with the offset for the fairing lowers. It works great.

Re the split pin - it was a right royal pain in the backside on both ocassions. There is bugger all room to move or see in behind the headers. I managed to do mine on my own the first time with just a lot of fiddling with needle nose pliers. I had a mate help me with the Ultra. It is one job I really wouldn't want to do again that is for sure. Can't really give anyone advice on the best way to do it but with fiddling and swearing it can be done. Oh the instructions make it sound 100 times easier than it actually is. Small hands is an advantage which means I was sweet out of luck there too.
