I'd appreciate it if I could get some advice on what brand of a Torx set to buy.

I have Kingchrome and they work well, make sure when you get them you get the ones with out the hole in the centre as they could snap.

I had an apprentice that bought a Teng breaker bar once. I know why they called them "Teng" after he was undoing head bolts one time. When they break that's exactly the noise they make! "TENG"!!

    Torx bit hint.

Most torx bits, thats socket torx bits, have a fairly sharp edge between the bottom and side edge of the bit.

That edge will easily chew the chrome on the inside of chrome torx bolt heads and rust quicky appears in the bolt head

Particularly if you torque chrome torx bolts.

Not as obvious in non chrome bolt heads but the sharp edge will chew them too.

If you got a dremel, fit the tiny sanding disk and lightly sand the torx bit bottom edge so its not so sharp.

If yopu have chewed off the chrome on the inside of chrome torx bolts, buy an el cheapo spray can of chrome paint, spray a bit on the end of a matchstick and rub a bit inside the bolt head and you wont notice the rust.

Particulaly usefull if fitting accessories that contain chrome torx bolts.

Ive not seen any brand where the bottom edge is not sharpish.

If the torx bit is still a bit sharp, wrap electrical tape around the bottom and side edge of the bit and gently tap the bit into the bolt head using a nylon faced hammer, Helps save the chrome
