    Hey All,

Need to get me self a bike lift, have been looking at various lifts but they all appear to lift 400mm max that doesnt seem high enuff to get under compfortable with room to work. Can anyone give me their opinion on ones you might have .....

    Hi T-100

Iv'e just bought a repco lift, great value, but I see what you mean, I was gettin sore knee's from gettin down under the bike, and gettin up and down from the stool.                               Iv'e got myself a rollin stool now, and I think I might get one of them crawlers that u lay on. U can get some pretty reasonabley priced lift tables, corse U still need some sort of sissor lift to lift the wheels up with that  too.  Goes on an on, never seemed to worry about all these aids when I was a young gubba.

Hope this of some use to U,    Doug

    Hi

That looks bloody scary. When I took the wheel off with the lift Iv'e got I strapped it down (with the suplied strap), And chocked the back wheel up.  Be expensive if it fell. Might never, but,,,,,

And it is expensive.  You gotta be able to get a hydrolic bench for that sort of money.

By good to here from you if you get one.

    Doug

Watching it wobble in the first vid when he spun the wheel put me off. Maybe they are safe...or not. The drill thing would drive me insane.

Looking at that its a big no way from me. From an engineering perspective I just cant gel with it.

Cheap it aint, especially with add on shipping @ $200 ....lift height to work on and around looks great....compact size is also great and can kinda be stored out of site....ride on platform is a no go for myself no room...

Will post pics if I go down that way....might have to pull resources 2gether bday, xmas and easter pressy.

    Hi Fella's

I looked on Fle-bay  and I was blown away with the bike hoists you can get, yes I supose they are frow China or some where, but hay we rubished the stuff from Japan when they first started sending gear over. And we all know how that went.

One that came up straight away was "Motomax" for $369. Shit the metal would cost more.  Looked ok, not like its going to be used all day every day. It's 2.8m long x .66m wide ,hydrolic ram.

Course you can shell out $1500.

Have a look and let us know what you think, be the same sort of quality as the small Repco, Supercheap lifts.

    Cheers Doug
