After nearly getting cleaned up by an arsehole who thought it was cool to do a right turn in front of me from the opposite direction through a intersection I have decieded that the woefull brakes on the Electra Glide need to be changed for some thing that actualy has some stopping power , what are the options here , I would like to go from a full fist application to just 2 fingers ( the fist I will keep in reserve for the mongrel in his car should I ever catch up with him ) .

I can't give you any advice, but confirm that the brakes on my 99 FLHT were absolutely woeful. Put up with them for years fearing that dreaded moment.

Replaced it recently with an 08 Street Glide. Absolutely brilliant bike with brilliant brakes! What a difference.

I hope that you get some good advice to solve your problem without too much expense and troubles.

I take it where talking about not being happy with your front brake !! Be it front or rear,, how long has it been since you serviced / cleaned / changed brake fluid on your brake system ?? I take it your pads are ok !!
To be honest , if I took a fist full and hard, of front brake , (in a straight line), at say 70-80 kms , it would nearly throw me. I belive your 2007 has the 4 x pistons ,(2x front / and rear.
If you haven't ,, a good clean of your calipers and pistons ,, and a good bleed and total fluid change ,, while your there throw in new pads,, get a good solid firm brake,, and see how that goes .
