Fitted sprocket, pleased with the item the way it fitted and performed. After 1000km checked the primary to have look at the compensator and discovered the flange on the sprocket carrier had seperated completely. Lucky no major damage, distributor has informed me BDL have discontinued the product. I don't know if I just had a faulty one or if it is design fault. My opinion is stay away from that paticular item if you are considering a change. I will add to my opinion when I get more info from BDL. I'm not saying BDL stuff is dodgy, they have been around for a long time a produce some good gear.

    Hi Oldtimer

Are they going to refund you?

You may remember me from our discusions on this product, turned out my noise was coming from the speedo drive, it was dry and the clip that holds the guts in wasn't all the way in. This drew my attention to the front end so I'm over hauling that.

What are you going with now?  Did you look at that one you mentioned with the rubber center from "Darkhorse"?

    Cheers Doug

Waiting for warranty details from the states so went for the HD standard fit but stayed with the 24T sprocket. Darkhorse still have not released their compensator and will probably take longer than I am prepared to wait. I would have given BDL another go, but I was told they are no longer producing the item. Still like the idea of not having a big hunk of metal hanging of the end of the crank shaft.

    Hi

Whats your opinion of BDL belt drives, I had a look at the tensioner and it appears near the end of the adjustment, so I think when I get to looking that bit the chain might be near the end of its life. And I supose that means you would replace the clutch basket and front sproket too??
