Dublin Ireland that is, in case there's a few more out your way on that side of the globe :) , Evenin' folks (or whatever time it is over there). I've never actually got to Oz yet but half of the family seem to have headed that way in the last few years, so hope to get over sometime soon.

Long time biker, but only ever owned 2 Harleys - a 1000cc ironhead sportster which I should never have sold, and one of the last of the Evo engined dynas which I've had for about a year now (and which is breaking my heart with the famous vibration problems). Been following the engine mount thread over in the dyna forum with interest, and could probably throw my tuppence worth on the new aftermarket engine mount, so shall head over there now ..

    Kind regards

    Alan

    Thank you gentlemen.

Had a look round beyond the Dyna threads, and never realised there was such a big bike culture there. Mind you, with the decent weather, not too surprising.

Nice to see a big pool of HD riders who fall somewhere between the extremes of weekend chaps-wearing dentists and hard core MC types. Road racing's big here, with a natural flow down into a preference for serious sports bikes in the local biking fraternity. HDs are seen as the bike of choice for Wannabes, and not for proper riders. ( A touch of the Judaen People's Front/People's Front of Judae approach) Still, the big twin thing works for me :)

Welcome Alan, in a big hot country like Australia a Harley just makes sense and as you would know there is just nothing better than the rumble of a Harley.

Must be good down there. I've spent a fair bit of time down in Southern Europe this year (w/o bike sadly) and am envious as hell of the guys tooling round without the full leather space-suit gear in the fresh air. You can just about get away with an open face helmet here, but other than that it's full gear with thermal linings for most of the year.

Plenty of rumbling though, and some nice bend-swinging territory round these here parts though. If you have to suit up in protective gear, you might as well let rip a little :)
