Tuning a 1938 Sidevalve V8 ?

    Anyone have experience or know someone who can tune and dyno a V8 Sidevale Engine on a bike ?

      maybe Colin Bates at Croydon or Ringwood might be a good start , he's into early ford stuff

    Yes I think soi but am getting more details on it today as I am not so technical guy for this shit.

    Hoever, under heavy throttle it sounds and feels that it is stalling.

    Its the SMALL 60HP Sidevalvle Engine and am hoping that there is a newer version of carby we can adapt to it or someone who has the technical knowledge on this can tune it.

    Offenhauser I think it was used to make a heap of stuff for those motors and used to go to Bonneville to set speed records, bit like S&S for Harleys back in the day, if thats any help.

    I know a guy, but he is up QLD he used to drive an old 36 ford flat head roadster Sydney to Brisbane &. Back was original too . Pretty simple. Car, his still had the original brakes too. He used to say, "real V8's don't have rocker covers" made us laugh .
