Hi, has anyone rebored their std. 883 barrols to 1200.?? if you have done this conversion,can you let me know wot the cost would be around? rebore only, as l know the cost of the pistons and other parts needed,, l understand places may vary but want to gage this cost...im in Melbourne....Thanks....

Why? since somebody donated a brand new wiseco piston set that they never used, suitable for this conversion without head work, and l want to keep the origonal silver 883 barrols , not black ones,so it still looks 883, So does anybody know the cost of reboring 883 to 1200 here? l understand there is around 1 hour lathe set up , 4 hours lathe work ,then final machining, ill phone around this week but l was hoping for a ball park figure here on the forum.....and perhapes someone who is capable here in Melbourne...

Just make sure that they bore it using tourque plates. Meaning that they bolt the barrels down and put them under load to bore as the will deform slightly if done the other way.

in melbourne cost is about $260-&280-00 ITS A FAIRLY BIG OVERBORE!!

Got the barrels done for $280, pistons & gasket set $440, front pulley $100. Used the stock heads, stock 1200 down load into the thundermax. Big jump in power , runs well.
