Hi, i'm having a problem with the 3 top screws that conect the outer fairing to the inner fairing on my 99 FLHT. In the inner fairing there are 3 threaded sleaves that the screws screw into. On my bike one of the sleaves has come out along with the screw and in one the thread is gone. I have been told to try a nutcert gun by my local HD dealer. Is there a better way? Or do i need to replace the inner fairing? Any advice greatly appreciated. Thanks Nyergen.

Google -- "Harley inner fairing inset repair kit" part no 16585-96 . The slotted end of the threaded inset is screwed in ,, not the other way round !!!

The Nutcert gun , is like a rivet gun type fix.. Strange the dealer didn't recommend ,, and have the above inserts in stock... Good luck ...
