I want to know what will happen when the 500 comes out next year and there is a heap of "L" plate riders wobbling around on them........ Do they become the new "Girls Bike" as the new small Harley option? If you look at the stats they should be quite quick, just like a Sporty.

The 750 might be the "Kids bike" and the 500 "Kindy bike"

Agreed, I would have got the HD 500 instead of the Yamaha XVS650 to do the learner/restricted licence. 

God now the mini Vrods have been brought up.

Had a few mates giving me shit for buying a Harley until they saw and sat on my sporty. They didn't realise Harley made normal sized motorbikes and not just oversized tanks :p

Ha Ha... yeah, sitting having a coffee in glenelg a little while ago and a guy with his girl walked by and looked at my sporty and said to her 'that's a chicks bike'... ha ha. First time I was aware of that thinking but who cares... ha ha

i have to admit and i've had a dyne and a soft tail, i always liked how the sportsters looked, but because everyone i knew called them "girls bikes"
i never even test rode one because of it. and oh boy was i a idiot for listening to them. my first sportster i rode, i bought a brand new one that very day.
they are far from girls bikes. and i've never seen a girl on one. in fact i've only seen girls on sports bikes or "big twins"

I have an Evo and a Sporty and absolutely love riding both bikes. The sporty is my daily ride, rain or shine, while the big twin is my canyon carver and weekend special.

The sporty is so damn light that the power to weight ratio is not bad at all (excluding the fat lump sitting on the seat...lol)

I reckon most of you guys are jealous because a Sportster can lean better, out handle, brake and out accelerate most of your bikes.

just like you can go touring on a triumph bonneville or a royal enfield
