Just put a Dobeck Performance Tuner on my 72! (EJK)

Seems to do the job pretty well, i got it from Kenma who are pretty top guys to deal with.

What tuners are people using out there? Any one had anything to do with the EJK's?

Will get picks up soon man i wish i did it sooner was so simple to install

Don't know about the dobeck but I think the patriot top fueler referred to above is merely a fuel controller and not a real tuner like a sert, tts etc.

The problem with buying or using some of these more obscure products is that there may not be many people who can or will help out with them.

I just put on a V&H FP3 tuner kit on a 2014 Iron - easy to do and happy with the results. My bike is totally standard except the tuner (air cleaner and exhaust next) and it goes noticeably better off the bottom end and top end now. For what its worth I rode a 2014 Iron with the screaming eagle pipes, tuner and airbox and it felt better in the top end but worse than stock for bottom end.

They seem pretty legit! rode it yesterday and was really impressed.

Pfft grown up tuner? ... Do you work for Vance and Hines?

Around the $300 mark it worked out to be which was pretty fair :)

The SERT is more than capable of doing the job, the reason why your bike lost power down low Loom is it was not tuned, using "pre programmed maps" will not get you good results. I was able to get 61HP from a stock unopened 883 with pipes and AC, put up against a 1200 with a "loaded screaming eagle map" my bike would leave it for dead....There are tunes and there are tunes....most of the products are more than capable of getting these results, but if you do not have the tune for it then they are useless.

    SERT + 1

Piggy back systems just waste space!!

A mate of mine had the Power Commander, yeah its fancy and does all the right things but you've got to hide it somewhere on your bike...........which is just another thing to worry abo

So what are people's opinions on the dynojet powervision and using it's autotune function to tune the bike, compared to getting the bike tuned by someone on a dyno?

copy and paste from a post I made in the EFI/Tuner section

I have a powervision supplied by Fuel moto in the states, they send you a map that matches your mods, then you do a few autotune sessions to get the VE's right. I did a few more logs and then emailed Fuel Moto and they sent back another map with the timing tweaked to suit.

I am friendly with my local indy shop who has a dyno, for science sake we strapped the bike on and gave it a few power runs, he said he would only be stealing money off me if I was to ask for a full tune as there wasn't a whole lot he could do bar adding a hp or two right in the higher RPM's with a raised rev limit. VE's and AFR's were all on the money.

that been said, I did atleast 15 A/T sessions until I got all the VE's below 3% change in total (delta)

For your usual bolt on stage 1 shit, powervision makes a good proposition.

    Hi Brash,

Do you have the narrow band O2 sensors or the wide band sensors on your bike when you did your tunes, and do you think it makes a big difference?
