What is the go with riding the Sporty for the first 1000ks - lots of speed variation?  I've heard that you can "glaze" a cylinder by keeping it underpowered. What is the best approach so not as to damage valves, etc..

yep as stated, just ride it normal, I ran mine up to 120 a few times but didn't travel for long periods at the one speed, mostly just normal road speeds.

Mate of mine says to progressively run up through the revs gently not just ring its neck but make sure to get revs up high a bit and alter speed often.....but he is a wanker so i usually ignore him and ring its neck a few times. Might not work but it is fun.

Thanks guys, that's some great advice. I seem to have done, and still am doing, a little of all of that so I am sure I have got it right. Some interesting stuff there.
