My name is Rob and I live in Brissy and have just stumbled on this site again after a few years and decided to sign up.
Just wanted to say g'day to everyone on the Australian HD Forum. Had a few years outta the saddle after almost 30 years of riding. Got sick of looking at my old girls sitting in the shed so have re registered the 08 Fatboy and am now riding daily again.Rode Triumphs from 1979 to 1984 then bought my first Harley, a 1977 Wideglide that had been customized by the time I bought her. Still have her in the shed, mounted above the bar. 185,000 miles on her and she looks as sharp as she did the day I bought her. 3 engine rebuilds, lots of heartache but heaps more good memories. Bought an 89 EVO softail in 1990 that I rode for a couple of years. Bought my first newbie in 92, another softail and did almost 200k on her till she died. Traded her in 2000 on a new wideglide. Rode her till I bought the 08 Fatboy. Loved it so much I bought another within 6 months for the wife. We rode together until a couple years ago. She is gone but not forgotten (the wife that is) and I have now pulled her 08 out and ride it daily. Only got 20 000 on the clock. Well thats my history. Love the bike, love the culture, hate the BS we put up with here in QLD. I know its not only us but I only ride in QLD mainly. Odd ride down south on long weekends etc.
Gonna get along to the Dirty Love Show next weekend. Will probably camp with my young bloke if allowed. So come and say g'day. Couple of pics of the current ride below.

Thanks for the welcome. Weather is crappy at the moment. Got home soaking wet yesterday but still had the stupid grin on my face. Been riding daily for a little over 2 months again and yesterday was the first time I got really wet.Bike needs a good clean but it can wait till next weekend when the sun is supposed to be out again. Cheers.
