Not good regarding the fucked paint on the rear guard,,,,,, but,,, anyone with a new, full dresser , (with tour pack), should check under there if they have cables and connectors squashed . An electrical fault waiting to happen !!!!!

By the way George, you couldn't post up some pics of the Limited without the tour pack, just to see her in streamline mode !!!! Cheers Mark.

Just checked mine. Mine's rubbed through too. Way worst than that though. The white plastic connector has been laying flat against the top of the guard and rubbed it back to metal. only got 2500km on it too. Another 2500km and i reckon it would rub a hole in the guard. I will post a pic up in the morning.

So if you had the docking kit put on at the dealership, Some nutter there is not following the correct procedure to keep the cables and shit out of the way once its all fitted. They will blame the apprentice as usual.

My Ultra doesn't have the detachable tour pak or detachable mounting brackets. I take it they are shipped and delivered with the fixed tour pak already fitted? if so mines from factory like that. Unless they had it off putting my bits and peices on.

I put the tour pack docking gear on when the bike was @ at 1000km. Since then, it has been more often off than on, however I did notice 2 small scratched on the rear guard where the cable connectors were. The cable connectors on the previous model were mostly contained in the actual tour pack itself, which was a pain as you had to remove the inner to access the connections. It is certainly a lot easier now to remove the unit as all of the connectors are at the back of the seat. I am thinking about buying a thick pair of baby socks, cutting the toes out and covering the hard plastic connectors. It's definitely a design fault.
