Had a problem on an electronic throttle on a 2008 Street Glide the other day, and heard from other owners it is a common problem. When you start it it idles at about 1800-2000 revs, instead of the normal 1000-1100. The fix is that with the kill switch on run, you turn the ignition on for 10 seconds and then off for 10 seconds. Repeat this another 3 times (on 10-off 10, on 10-off10, on 10-off 10), and then start. Service guy claimed it was caused by touching the throttle before you start, when the ignition is on, which resets the idle. Pain in the arse, but at least there is a quick fix.
