I just plug my GoPro straight into the power on the street glide & it runs all day as they are designed to do that so you really do not need the battery eliminator.

Do you guys have any drama downloading the footage? That gopro studio is a bloody nightmare. I've installed it and uninstalled a few times. When I plug my camera in it says preparing to import pics from hero 3 this might take several minutes, then it vanishes from my screen never to be seen again. I'm absolutely at the end of my rope.

    Superglide,

Like FXST said, take the memory card out of the gopro, and insert in your laptop/computer memory port.

Then a window will pop up on your computer - select open folder.  Then select all of the files (movie footage) and copy them to your harddrive somewhere (eg my movies).

then use imovie or windows moviemaker to edit the footage.

    Thanks mate,
Just mucking around trying to update the software...old crappy laptop not being much help.
In the meantime, I started a thread in the phot section for any gopro or action camera shots. It would be cool if everyone threw a few up there. Give us all some ideas etc.

I have 2camera's, Go pro2 and Go pro hero3, I think your laptop may need upgrading, most of your problems would be solved. Our old laptop couldn't keep up with the program, the new one just keeps up.When editing you'll see the movie your trying to make go slower. You can try saving it,go out of the program and restarting it or get a better computer The Go pro video editing program is a great program to use, have had trouble downloading it once. We have been using Wondershare, it does have a subsciption fee, it does take all different footage from different camera's, the Go pro is free. I have had alot of trouble with downloading pitures, i'm sure I have just stuffed up some were. I put the sim card in the laptop and export from there. If your using the free music from Go pro some times You tube with put a copy right infringment on your video, This has happened to us a few times, you will need to contest.it. I hope this has helped in some way. 2013 Fatbob progressive suspension, S&S Slip-on, Air filter, Tuner.

    Cheers,
I did get it going in the end. I found it easiest to download gopro onto my iPad. I ended up selling it after using it for a week or so. I didn't think I had many adventures coming up, and I got some great pics/ videos out of it. I might buy one again this summer, will be interesting to see all the new features they might have by then. Thanks again for your help.
