    2014 Australian Historic Road Race Championship to be held at Lakeside
    April 30, 2014

    Motorcycling Australia (MA) would like to announce this years Australian Historic Road Race Championship will be held at Lakeside Park in Queensland on September 25-28.

    The Queensland Early Motorcycle Sports Club (QEMSC) are excited to host this years championship after securing the MA track license for Lakeside earlier this year. 

    The license is conditional upon some works being completed by 15 August 2014.

    President of the QEMSC has been working tirelessly to bring the historic road race event to the sunshine state over the last couple of years and is looking forward to providing an excellent event for both riders and spectators.

    Lakeside Park, formerly known as Lakeside International Raceway is located at Pine Rivers 30 km north of Brisbane and lies adjacent to Lake Kurwongbah.

    The circuit is known as the spiritual home of Queensland motorsport and was built by volunteers and borrowed machinery in the 1960s.

    It will roar back in to life as the Historic Road Race Championship rolls in to town come September.

    Supplementary Regulations are currently being drafted and will be available for download as soon as possible via the MA website.
