I have one on my Limited. Looks good with the reduced width at the rear, but definitely not for 2 up. Its fine but not brilliant for long rides. I'd rather the original seat for that.

Yep, bought one recently and did a few hundred clicks on Saturday without issue. As Chaser says, no good for a pillion.

Is the seat new brand new that you are looking at?

New seats contour to your shape better than one someone else has used, plus it takes around 1000k's for them to 'break in' so I've been told.

I had one on my 09 tourer and it was great. I am 6ft 1in and the seat allowed me to sit back a bit further. Agree no good for a pillion but I did several 500 klm per day rides and found it great.

cheers but I have decided to mod my seat as I have the rider backrest and it won't work with the badlander. If he still has it in a few weeks i might grab it just so i have an option.

Steve from GC Motorcycle seats at Helensvale. I have had 3 people tell me he does really good work.

just seen a distressed brown leather one, are they any different (profile wise) or is it just that they are leather. Got my seat modded today and it does feel better but I still wouldn't mind a lower profile seat that suits the lines of the bike better. I would keep the standard one for longer rides and when I take the missus out.

ended up buying the badlander as well and get it next week. I was going to get my modified seat recovered but at $450 decided it can stay the way it is. I will use the badlander for me and put the modded standard on for when the missus wants to come.

cheers Paul I do like the look and tomorrow I'll see how it feels. The covers were on when I bought the bike but pretty sure they would be genuine HD items.

done a couple of rides now on the seat and definitely happy with it. I now have far better feet position when stopped and it is pretty comfortable. On big rides I will probably use the modded standard and the rider backrest, but for most of my riding this will stay on. :)

How much lower do you sit ? Now your feet are better positioned.
