Have purchased a 2014 Fat Boy and was looking for slip on mufflers that give a nice sound without attracting too much attention. I start work early mornings so I do not want to wake the neighbourhood. Workshop tried to fit the Vance and Hines twin slash but unfortunately, in contrast to what is advertised, they do not fit the 2014 model. Harley Heaven tried their best to no avail. Haerd the S&S slip ons but they are a bit loud. Anyone know of good quality slip ons to suit that are louder than the screamin eagles (heard they are not much louder than the stock pipes), but not as loud as the non baffled types?

Hey Mad, Just bought a FB Lo a week ago and put on a set of V&H 3" Slash slip ons. REALLY happy with the note. I put the quiet baffles in as well but they have still kept the bass sound I wanted.
SOrry I don't have a sound clip for you to listen to. They look great too IMHO. Fortunatley there are lots of HD pipes to choose from - maybe too many?

There is a photo of my bike in the New Member Intro section if you are interested in seeing how they look.

    Have fun choosing!

Thanks Redda. You wouldnt know what part number the pipes you fitted were? Its the V&H twin slash chrome #16843 that do not fit the 14 FLSTF. Pity as they are a great looking pipe.

    Hi mate.

I bought mine pre delivery of the bike with them installed by M&W Brisbane. The numbers on the invoice are: (Not sure if these are V&H stock numbers)
V46843 (black) Twins Slash 3" Slip ons
V21899 Quiet Baffles for the pipes.

I have it in mind that I was told by Rollies Speed Shop that this particular slip on is only available through a HD Dealer - don't hold me to that though as it was a few weeks ago I enquired about it.

    Hope this helps!

Hey madhouse. How did you go? I have a 2014 Fatboy too and I'm thinking of some slipons. Doyou need to change the air filter too? Do you also need a tuning chip?
    Cheers.

Gidday Upstart. After speaking with a different Harley Heaven dealer, I got the V&H twin slash slip ons fitted. Wasnt a big deal at all in the end. Extra half hour than normal for which they didnt charge. Peter Stevens Ringwood were great. They were not sure why the other dealer could not fit them but put it down to lack of knowledge. As for the slip ons, absolutely stoked. They sound great. Yes they are louder than I thought but they sound that good i dont mind at all. Highly recommend them.

And no need at all to change the air filter or tuning chip.
