It's coming time to replace the barrey in the fatbob after nearly 6 years. I'm leaning towards another std HD battery or maybe just maybe going to something else like this SSB dry one.http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/221313093714?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1438.l2649 Now the reason I'm looking at another other than std is the motor will soon be replaced with a 124 and I'm thinking a few more cca's might be in order?

    Any thoughts??

If you use the search function youll find pages and pages on the subject.

    Most say use HD.

I have had one of them in my bike for 2 years or more now it's still working great even after being flattened a few times due to regulator issues. I have never run a trickle charger and often leave it for a month or more without starting the bike..

Thanks independant, Longevity is always a factor as is performance. Tried the search engine but come up dry on these batteries or the longevity of them.

l had the factory battery die on my bike , l was having starter issues so l replaced the original with a moto batt, suppose to have had more cranking amp hrs than stock unit. At the end of the day at that time l did not have a trickle charge which is absolutely essential with these alarmed bikes.if you don't ride regulary l am sure if l had the trickle charger the battery would have lasted a lot longer. When the moto batt goes south l will go back to the factory yuasa
