Hi, I need to replace the fork oil on my bike, I have 70k on it and it's quite unpleasant to ride. Can anyone offer suggestions as to what weight/brand/amount to use. I'm 97 kilos and I'm aiming for comfort. Also, I don't have the cash for any u-beaut kit to install, just the oil. Any help appreciated......Neale.

Just a hint that you probably know, to clean the forks properly, esp' if they haven't been done for a long time, you really should remove the forks and flush a few times
with kerosene until clean, and leave upside down to drain overnight.
You can just drain/fill them still fitted to the bike, but you will leave a lot of "gunge" behind.

Thanks for the tip, I'd have never thought of doing that.

You will be shocked by the grey filth that comes out !
If you want to be really thorough, you should also dismantle the forks and check the bushes for wear.
Easy and cheap enough to replace.
