    hey guys,

Thinking of converting my 150 rear wheel to a 200. Has anyone done this on a 72 sportster? how is the turning and what was the total cost fully installed. before and after pics would be awesome .

    Cheers

200 I'm pretty sure needs total new rear swingarm.

180 can be done with a wheel swap and the right spacers

170 can be done on the stock rear wheel, 170/70/16 shinko 777 etc

    Hey mate ,

Yeah happy to fork out for new swing arm ect, just chasing up info in total price for full conversion and if any major change in handling in corners ect . Wouldn't mind seeing if there would be any issues with going bigger than 200 .

    Cheers for your input btw.

    I read you're going 240? So what's the story?
New swingarm, fender... would you need to offset pulleys etc? How much (if you don't mind)

Thanks for all the info you supply Walka, really appreciate it. I unfortunately live in Sydney ,so the Melbourne shops are a bit out of reach.

Gday Harris i,m curently doing the conversion at the moment ,as Walka said i gave Luke a ring ( good bloke to talk to very helpful ) you take your swngarm of and your front pulley send it to Gworks and they will modify them for you ,you will have to split your frame just under the seat and spread it a bit in order to fit the wider guard ,so theres a bit of home mods to do as well but no dramas, and the rim i just got through Walka at VPW another good bloke to talk to with a wealth of info ,i have,nt finished yet but when i do i will post before and after pics

Gee i hope Luke throws in a free hoodie , Walka are there VPW hoodies available

Man 240 on a Sportster? Seen them on the Breakout and V Rod

It is one of my lost loves with my Iron with that thin back wheel ; - (
