Bought a springer front end for my 72 sportster. Just want to know if anyone else has done this mod and if so what sort of risers did you use to attach the handlebars. There are 2 holes with threads in the top of the suspension so completelty different to a triple tree. And suggestions on this is appreciated . Cheers

    What brand is the Springer...OEM?

If it's original Harley then studs will screw into those threads, and risers will bolt down onto the studs. The OEM risers are about 4.5 inches tall and are rubber mounted.

On my Softail Springer I had to fit taller risers when I fitted drag bars, because on full lock the accelerator cables would hit the tank. There's not a lot of options for risers for Springers. I used a 6" set from Accutronics and they make them in 4", 6" and 8".

Chubby also do a 1.25" pullback bar for OEM Springers. Looks good, but puts the bars back toward the rider a bit too much for my taste.

If the Springer is DNA or some other aftermarket unit, can't help.

    Thanks for your input guys.

Yeah its a DNA springer, Ended up buying a DNA riser plate, so should be able to just attach the stock Harley risers to that. Just have to hope i dont have an issue with the bars hitting the tank on full lock.

There is a bit for messing around to fit a Springer on to a 2004 and Up Sportster,
You need to move the Tank Back, You have to Grind out some of the Lower Tree on the Fork then get it Re Chromed or Powder Coated, You also need to make a 1/2 Bush to go under the Lower Bearing to lift the Frame Up, Springers also use diffrent Risers and Handle Bars, You also need a Caliper Bracket for your Brake Caliper and you should change your Front Wheel to a Wide Glide, Your Wheel has the wrong Bearings
