I hate letting anyone put spanners to anything I own, but as I'm in the Isa and the bike is in Beaudesert I have to swallow my pride and let others do the work. I recently ran in the stg2 103 kit on my streetbob, decided i wanted more and proceeded to order more parts. I currently am using Gasolene Alley basically beause they are easy going blokes. My question is who else has a good rep in the area? I'm not disatisfied with the service, but they are Harley dealers and push their product. Everyone there seem like good people, but they can be a bit slack on keeping you updated, return calls, etc. I'm not dissing them but I just want alternatives.

I`ve met Justin , seems like a real nice bloke , just have to get used to his accent , Lol ... haven`t had any work done there yet so can`t attest to his quality , but I reckon there is nothing better than being able to talk to the guy who is working on your pride and joy , and he co - owns the shop .

Fred at Pro - Cycle Dyno is pretty up on all things High Performance , just down the road from Gasoline as well and is THE go to guy in the area for any Dyno work ... have had a fair bit of work done by Fred and his main off sider Jamie ... no real complaints apart from the fact that he has got incredibly busy this last year or so and ya can tend to have to chase him up with Phone calls to get any updates ... his rates are far better than Gasoline`s that's for sure ... he would have to be one of the easiest blokes to talk to as well .

Heavy Duty , just up the road from Gasoline , have been around for awhile ... Simon and Shane the owners are real easy to talk to as well ... haven`t had any major work done there but just recently mate had his 2003 Super Glide in there for swap out of tensioners for Gear drive Cams and they had the work done in a day , pretty dam quick work as far as I am concerned when it comes to any bike shop as they usually book it in and take a week to do anything ... my only criticism would be that you don`t get to talk to the mechanic ... this is a strange one I suppose as when it comes to my old work car I don`t usually get to talk to mechanic but every bike I have ever owned I have always had a 1 on 1 communication with the guy working on my bike .

I am currently using a guy down Upper Coomera way ... Stuart Henry Motor Cycles ... works from his home , is my understanding he once worked for Heavy Duty then went out on his own ... no off siders which is good and bad of course , he does every thing but of course having a few jobs on the board keeps him busy ... again a real nice guy , unbelievably easy to talk to and so far really seems to know his way around a engine ... and I really like the way he doesn't push one particular product ... in fact he mix's and match's products depending on what works best ... for example I`ve just had him install some 106 cube S & S barrel and pistons ... S & S 79 cc Heads ... but instead of using S & S throttle body he has chosen the Screaming Eagle one as he finds them better to tune ... as well as using the Screaming Eagle adjustable push rods .

Morgan and Wackers have picked up their act some what since Paul Lewis , Ex International 500 cc racer has taken over ... I find that their prices are competitive when it comes to the Big Dealer ships ... you are right about the people at Gasoline being nice people , real nice in fact but sadly their work shop prices are outrageous as far as I am concerned ... not long back they quoted a mate $440 to supply and change a rear tyre on a Super Glide ... up the road at tyre joint job was done for $250 and a better brand tyre as well .

It would be different for everyone I suppose but for me I have to have a good feeling with who ever is working on my pride and joy and right now that is Stuart Henry Motor Cycles ... hope this gives you a few choices .

Awesome response, thanks blokes. Have already ordered mva heads, pistons, cams, etc from Gas. So will get them to do the next work. But will definitely check out some of your suggestions.

Aren't the MVA Heads the Screaming Eagle ones?

Well there you go  MAXIMUM VELOCITY AREA stands for (MVA).

Just techno name crap, so they can charge three times the  price on what they are worth.
