My battery has finally pooped it on my 2011 RK. I work fifo so i have had it on the trickle charger. It just no longer wants to fire up.

Would you blokes have any recommendations for aftermarket batteries or should i stick with the oem unit?

As kiwidave has said, go genuine mate.

Over the years I've learnt the hard way with aftermarket batteries for my Harleys.

For a few extra $$$ you get a battery that will be reliable.

Go ahead and get a cheapie and then you will have to get another one which will eventually cost you a whole lot more than a genuine good quality battery in the long run . And you know as luck would have it , the battery will kark it in the rain in the middle of nowhere . At least a genuine Harley one can be redeamed at another Harley shop as I am told . My Harley battery was cheaper than a after market one by far

Put one of these in my fatboy, be sure to sit down before you read the price.

just my experience have had 2 hd batteries in my bike so far both lasting a little over  1 year, the second one i put in it i decided to get a trickle charger from HD made fuck all difference maybe bad luck i don't know!
so decided to spend a few more dollars and put in a Odyssey at least they have a 2 year warranty with them, 3year if not used in a bike. but had to make a step to sit it on as its a bit shorter than the stock battery.

Just spent the bucks and went the oem battery. Bloody beautiful. It is a great feeling to be able to fire up your bike and know you wont get stranded at the shops and have to cab it home to grab the bride and the ute to jump start her!
