Is the Rear Tri bar LED light on 2014 Streetglide non operational on the Australian delivered models? If so what is involved in making it operate?
My local dealer inform me this is not just a plug and play excerice. Seems stange as the wiring loom connects to it.
Interested in others thoughts and knowledge. Cheers
Thinking of this if it is plug and play

It was not on my 2012 Street glide. You have to re pin the plug to get it to wk, pain in the arse!!!
I've got one on my 08 FLHX and it comes on with the the ignition. It is connected to the brake light as are the two pannier lid lights. It gives a great dimension to the rear of the bike especially in dull light and when braking.
Hi All
Recently purchased a 2014 Street Glide and I also find the Tri-Bar does nothing
Wishing to have a bit more warning for our Sydney drivers I ordered the Custom Dynamics Dual Intensity Tri-Bar Light
http://www.customdynamics.com/street_magic_harley_davidson_led_taillights.htm#TRI-BAR_Dual_Intensity_LED_Fender_Tip
The light for the 14 is about 3/4 of the way down the page. Also ordered front LED Dynamic Ringz blinker/drl combo.
Have to wait for them to arrive but will post some pics when fitted
Cheers
Auldy
After waiting due to production delays, I received my LED Tri Bar light from Custom Dynamics this week along with a pair of LED Dynamic Ringz running light/blinkers for the front.
Have purchased the tri bar light in a smoked finish and also smoked lens covers for the led blinkers. As can be seen in the pics, the led blinkers have a dual base fitment which suits the US style running light blinker combo. I will be fitting both some time next week and will update with further pics and assembly points. Due to the base of the led running light/blinker combo, I will be cutting the dual base fitting off the led and configuring wiring to suit installation.
Have supplied initial pics of the lights and the bike at the recent Wall to Wall ride with a new Klock Werks 8.5" tinted screen fitted
Kardinal Sin, purchased it via http://www.kustombaggers.com. It is the 8.5" dark smoke that I put on mine
I did warn you that these things can be a pain to get working. You may need a multimeter and a few hrs but it can be done....
Apologies for the delay in reply, busy like everyone. I have fitted my Custom Dynamics (CD) Tri-Bar light and finishing off the LED Front Blinker / DRL Light combo
This update has not been without its issues, however, I was determined to make it work. First off I fitted the Tri-Bar light and the supplied CD wiring, on turning the ignition on I was presented with the Park mode of the Tri-Bar light working, however, the left rear brake light and blinker (not flashing) of the bike were constantly on. I contacted CD by email and they advised that the supplied parts would not work on the Aust model. (Why they sent them I don't know) . They further advised to return the parts for a Full Refund.
What I found was from being a Mechanic in my previous life was, the Tri-Bar light worked perfectly in Park and Brake modes, the problem is that the adapter harness wired for U.S bikes. I reconnected my original dummy light back up and the rear end electrics worked as normal. What I did from here was to re install the CD Tri-bar light, I the unglued the black wiring adapter block from the original dummy light and sealed the back of it to keep any water / moisture out. I then tested the input side plug of the bike wiring harness and located the (Blue/Red) wire as power for Brakes, the (Blue) wire as power for parking lights and naturally (Black) as the Earth. I then ran Posi-Tap connectors to each of the three wire and connected the (Blue/Red) to the CD Tri-Bar light (Red), the (Blue) to the CD Tri-Bar light (Orange) and black to black. I re connected the black wiring block from the back of the original dummy light and hey presto, all working. I have utilised zip ties to keep the wiring in place.
The things I have learned. The supplied CD Tri-Bar light on its own, works fine and is a great design. The input and output plugs on the HD wiring plugs do not all have wires in all available twelve locations. The HD wiring connector that is glued to the back of the "dummy" tri-bar light has twelve pins fitted on each of the input and output sides, these pins corresponde (they do no cross over in pin pattern and are a congured match from input to output).
I have been in contact with CD by email and rather that shit can their product, have been trying to resovle the wiring adapter issue for the Aust models. I think if they were to produce an adapter that has twelve pins each side that correspond to each other and tap the pins that supply power to the Park Lights, Brake Lights and Earth it will work on Australian Models. I am sending them back the supplied harness and requesting a replacement in the configuration as described if possible.
Today I have fitted the CD LED Run Light/Blinker combination for the front. I knew the fitting would be an issue before starting as the U.S Models have running lights in their blinker assemblies to start with.
To fit these I removed the headlight assembly, screen and outer bat wing fairing. Remove the front blinker assemblies from the bike then unbolt the bullet blinker housing from the assembly. Next you basically have to strip the blinker and cut off the wiring at the Bulb End. Discard the globe and globe socket assembly. Refit the original rubber backing and reflector into the bullet housing. On the supplied CD Blinker/Run Lilight, cut the Orange, White and Black Wires off at the plug end and discard the plug, it has a double contact.
Next is the wiring, I used Posi-Twist terminals, if you prefer you can solder or use your preferred joining method. The CD LED light has three wires (Orange - Blinker), (White - Running Light) and (Black - Earth). The Orange is joined to your Blinker wire (Purple) and the Earth is Black to Black. The White Wire is for the Running Light and the bike does not have wiring for it as standard. What I did was to use a Posi-Tap on the blue wire to the Park Light socket at the headlight. I then ran a wire from the Posi-Tap connector to each white wire on the CD Blinker/Run Light assembly, on these wires I also ran additional insulation tubing over them to reduce the instace of electrical shorting from rubbing.
I used smoked lenses on the front and the finished product looks smart and functions as advertised. Still have the fairing and Headlight to put back on yet
