I'm new to HD's and have lookin at a an 89 softail. 

The bike is an import with an Evo engine. Not sure on compliance for Australia, but I'm assuming it will need all the usual ADR stuff plus tyres etc. anything else I should expect to egg it riding in qld?

 

What would a bike like this be worth? The guy knows nothing about it, he just bought it and chucked it in a container. 

I might be wrong Jigga but it would depend on a lot of variables but for me ... IF ... it was in pretty good nick and registered legally in Qld then I reckon you wouldn`t want to be paying much more than around the 14,000 grand mark .

I recently bought a smicko 99 Softail Springer and paid 16,000 which was pretty top dollar I thought at the time but I was desperately after a Springer so one does what one must ...

Does it have import approval paperwork .

what ever your willing to pay for the wright bike just don't jump as there are plenty of bikes out there and some bargains seen
evo softails from $6000 grand to $30,000 + with lots of great bikes and shit too buyers market with so many

out there depends where you live too wa bikes are always a few grand more than over east
