Paul this is the 103 stg iv that you had taken back to stg 2?
if so the bores have 7000kms but pistons and rings are new or the originals refitted?
Maybe it's 7000km bore plus at leats 1 hone with original pistons something less than 7000kms and new rings with very low kms.
would imangine the hone was very light in that case.
How did you bed in the new rings? I recall you didn't like the stgiv so I am hoping you didn't baby it along.
If it is a concern drop it back to the shop and have them take a look and advise you.

Yeah that's interesting, no didnt baby it just rode it nomally as from the day I picked it up brand new. I also heard they run quieter on mineral, but why? a 20 50 is a 20 50 regardless of if its synthetic or mineral.... anyway I did my thousand ks and it used a smidge over 200mls. Odd because at 900ks it had used almost none but the level dropped in the last 100ks. So is that within spec?
