It is legal to remove it. Done it heaps of times. You just cant ride down the road without one, thats why they come from the shop with em too!

i dunno why u would even worry about silly things like is it or not i took mine off over yr ago had dint and paint at dint or dent cracked then started falling off in pieces an i jus took it off ,coz i could and like da look so thats how i want it an i dont even put those thoughts about will i get in trouble ,i put all thinking about is this or that seems like u need 2 put da wat if thoughts outa ya head ,anyway its only mudgarud ,jus tell em its gettin painted or sumthin ,use ya noodle sharpen up a bit stand up for ya self u do have the rite 2 speak dont b humiliated by thinking your gunna get in trouble ,fuck dat shit i do as i want been pulled over heaps never a word said about anything on bike an my bike is loud stg iv no gaurd but is regoed an i got licence blow in bag do licence check an all good ,have a nice night they said 2 me an that was 3 days ago ,i rode 2 bris other week saw po bike in middle hwy as went past 125-130 he tagged along about k or so 4 20klms then started gettin closer as hwy speed limit changed i jus pulled over 1 lane still doin 120 an he jus went past sat beside briefly i never lok at them jus maintain my concentration on wat im doin an is only 10 k over or so an ive had them beside me a lot of times lately in cars or bikes an never get hassled about noise or watever an my my bike has big shot staggered an wif kit an also pipes come into there own and change thier sound this engine makes a deep solid sound ,an at speed its awsome ,an thats how i want my bike if i bothered about all these things ya cant or shouldnt do ,i wouldnt bother even gettin outta bed ,a man is an individual and thats how i function an thats thatSHINGLES
