    Hi all,

Hope someone can shed some light on this, was looking at getting some parts from the US, when I used the search tool to find my bike on the hd parts site, it doesn't exist, the last time my model (2013 softail standard) was sold in the USA was back in 2006/07.

Can someone explain to me why OZ models for sale in 2013 were different to the USA models for sale in the same period?

    Did I miss something???

Am I stuck in a time warp or is this just common across all country's?

The 06/07 Softies were a heap of shit and they couldn't sell them all, far too many faults and no one wanted them.

HD had a big problem with all these sub standard bikes that were parked up in the back shed,,, until they came up with the idea to re-stamp the dates and off load them to a Country that didn't matter much.

Boowahahahahahah, just pullin ya leg mate, fact of the matter is that Standard Softails simply aren't
that popular in the States, they stopped producing them for their local market cause the sales weren't there. Cheap as chips in the States and most Yanks could afford something a bit more up-market.
You'll probably find that the same thing happened/happens to a few of the other models as well. Like they go crazey over the Road Glide in the States but nowhere near as popular here in OZ, so not as many RG's here.

Oz, Japan, and Europe on the other hand was a different kettle of fish, there is a big market for the Standard, probably had a bit to do with price too.

So it's all down to marketing and what they can sell in different regions.
