How do you clean a Screaming Eagle pod air filter correctly? Wash with warm soapy water let dry and then a fine coat of air filter oil? The service manual has only how to clean the "standard" air filter. (warm soapy water, dry, "NO" oil) I Have been told to use air filter oil on the Screaming Eagle pod air filters. If this is correct will the warm soapy water be enough to clean the filter or would you use a air filter cleaner?

FXST11 has put you on the right track.
I clean and re-oil my air filter at 5000 km , (when I change my engine oil ), may be overkill, but I'm in the mood.
Just make sure when you rinse the degreaser off ,(tap water pressure , and rinse inside out ).
And when you re-oil, (spray), don't over do it, just get a red tinge over the entire filter and let it fully dry before install. Cheers.
