Picked this little thing up reciently and was wondering if there is many in Australia. I plan to restore it to original as the condition is excellent for its age. Has been sitting on a she's for twenty five years so need a scrub. It's a amf Harley Davidson ss250 1975 and has 6000miles on it. The bloke pulled the single cylinder two stroke out and his mechanic sold it on him and has been in the ages since. Anyone got a motor sitting in their shed??

At risk of asking the obvious, have you searched eBay? Looks to be lots of engine parts, maybe even enough to build a complete motor again. Respect to you if you pull it off sir, I wouldn't have the patience.

Sure no dispespect intended, its just looks a pretty major resto and surely things like the tank regardless of a bit of a scrub will require a repaint anyway. Keep the pics flowing
