No Kuryakyn gear for pre 96' HD

I own an 88' Softail Springer (85th Anniversary Model) and it already had a few bits of 'Kuryakyn' gear on it when I bought it, so I thought I'd keep the 'Kuryakyn' theme going and bought a pair of 'Skeleton Hand Mirrors' and then I tried to buy some other bits, among them a pair of 'Zombie Levers'. Well guess what? After shelling out my hard earned bucks to try and dress up my HD, I find out that a lot of 'Kuryakyn' gear will only fit HD's from 96' on, what the F is that! So I write to 'Kuryakyn' and they tell me that 'Because of the low numbers of pre 96' HD' customers that it's not economical to manufacture parts for them. For Christ sake how much does it cost you 'Cheapskates' to make your shit in F'ing CHINA!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And it's funny isn't it that it's okay to manufacture 'SOME' stuff for pre 96' HD's but not other stuff.

Anyone want some 'Kuryakyn' gear for there pre 96' HD cause I'm selling all of mine and am going to find a manufacturer who understands that there are hundreds of thousands of us 'PRE 96' HD's owners out there in the real world and we like to personalise our bikes the same as 96' and later HD owners.

You've lost another customer 'Kuryakyn' and I'll bag you to everyone I get a chance to talk too!

If there were" hundreds of thousands" actually buying Kury' stuff I'm sure they would still be making it.
I found a lot of Kury' gear to be very average quality anyway, so no loss really.
I'd say get over it and move on .

Well Deadwood I'm 60yrs old and just retired to look after my disabled wife who can longer be left alone for long periods of time (by the way mate this isn't a 'Whinge' okay, it just the facts as they are), I don't have a huge amount of money to spend on my bike and I'm lucky I guess that my wife didn't mind that I bought the bike in the first place. And the reason she didn't mind is because she knows how much I love bikes, and she wanted me to have an interest outside of looking after her 24/7.

I've had bikes since I was 14yrs old, first ever bike was a Royal Enfield 250 Crusader which was my first bush basher, over the years I've owned some great bikes BSA's, Matchless, Ariel, Triumph, Honda, Suzuki, Yamaha etc etc, all in all I've owned about 30 different bikes.

As I said were not flush with money and I certainly don't have a lazy 10K to throw at some custom shop guru to do what I'd like done to the bike, so I do the best I can with what I can afford, and yeah I know that the Kuryakyn stuff isn't that good (but it's what I can afford), so if you think I was whinging because I made a comment that a manufacturer doesn't think that it's 'economically viable' to make parts for pre 96' HD's so be it mate, but I take pride in what I own and I like it to look as good as it can with the money I can afford and I'm sure that I'm not the only one out there who is in the same position.

So if you still want to open up the 'Whinge Thread' then I'll certainly move my post to it, I don't want to offend your sensibilities Deadwood, thanks for that mate!

Here's some more info. It's called the law of supply & demand. If the cost to produce & supply outweighs the expected return from the current demand, then you don't produce & supply, otherwise you run at a loss. Not a sustainable business practise. Plus what speedzter said.

    TLDR????

Is this some sort of secret squirrel language on the forum or just an acronym for something?

And yet despite the "1000% plus" return, they still don't produce the parts, well how silly of them to just walk away from such lucrative profits. Pity they don't have a fucking financial  genius like yourself in the CEO's chair liamray, they'd be laughing all the way to the bank while listening to the mind numbing anti-establishment bullshit that comes spewing from your mouth on an all too regular basis. Don't bother replying, as like many others on this forum, I have less than zero interest in your ignorant waffle. Have a good day in fantasy land.

"liamray, it's an acronym for Too Long Didn't Read................

Thanks Spook (use to have a mate called Spook when I was a teenager, we called him that because he slept with his eyes open, no lie he really did, use to scare the shit out us!).
I guess I'm just showing my age not knowing what that acronym meant huh.
And from the comments aimed at me I think I'll just sit down and shut up, and just learn to agree with whatever all the old hands say, so I'll fit in?
I guess I'm just a dinosaur, and obviously way too old to know anything about anything going on today.

Get on to the Lowbrow site Liam.
Some good stuff there but not "The Chrome Brigade" type of gear.
Maybe change your idea on what you want to do to modify.

Yeah Wimbo I've seen the lowbrow stuff, and I do like it, but as I said the previous owner of this bike started a bit of a Kuryakyn theme with it and I don't have a bucket load of cash to throw at it to change it all.
Guess I'll just try to mix n match some other stuff to get the look I want, already found some 'Willie G' stuff I like, so I'll see what happens, Thanks.
