    Hi Guys,

Just thought some may like this info.

    I ride a Roadking with 21 x 3.5 front.

Love the look of White Walls but need 120/70/21,with the only choice being the Vee Rubber. (piece of shit)

I got 2400 ks out of the Vee Rubber on my old bike before it started to bubble (4 in total)

Now i have just spotted the one on my new bike with around 2000 ks on it has a massive bubble ...So i googled it, and low and behold theres about 1000 posts on bad experiences with this tyre.............

No i havent hit any massive potholes as the retailer where tyre come from told me i must have today on the phone. (forum sponsor)

Anyway ive always run Avons on past bikes and had no problems.

Ive received an emailed today by Greg Parker from Pro Accessories (Aus Distributor)..............

Saying that the Avon Cobra  120/70/21  White Wall will be available from around September in OZ....

    Cheers Coz

Thanks coz. In the process of deciding on a 21" 80 spoke at the moment and was about to start researching tyres. Vee Rubber sound shite.

Is that size you mention (120/70/21) to suit a 21" x 3.5" front?

Gee Coz that amazes me, I sell a lot of Vee Rubber tyres and don't get any problems with them .

You rang me a couple of days ago tell me me that you had bought a second hand bike that has a Vee Rubber White wall fitted to it and after 2000 odd K's of you riding and not knowing what the Bike had done or been treated befor you bought it,, a Bubble has come up in the Tyre . So you called me looking for a Replacement under Warranty.

I did say to you most likely the Bike has hit a Pot Hole at some stage that has fractured the Tyre, Your reply " well I didn't " Thats ok If a tyre has a fracture the fault will not show it's self straight away, it always later in the tyres life . If you had bought the Tyre From Me and had a Receipt and it was only with in a few weeks of you purchasing the Tyre I would be happy to of given you a replacement.

Dont get me wrong we take Tyre issues very seriously , God we are dealing with peoples lives

Iv'e had guys bring back Metzlers after 500 Km with problems and very happy to replace them. Because we have some sales history

Any brand of Tyre can fail , there is always a reason.

"AMAZES YOU"....................... (Google is your friend) wink

I didn't mention who the "Forum Sponsor" was for a reason (didn't want to point fingers or bad mouth).
The guy I purchased the bike from ,purchased the tyre from you , had it fitted , in his home town of Wagga Wagga rode it for 3 days , had a work place accident broke his back and hip , so bike did not move until I purchased it.
Never had a tyre fail let alone 2 in less than 4500ks ,only wear down in my 25 years of riding.
I understand the get what you pay for ideal, but when your front tyre is $295 not fitted I would expect more than that.
I rang enquiring about a possible manufacturing fault and was shot down in 2 seconds by you saying you "must have hit a pothole".
So I left it and went searching .........with success.

    UPDATE...................

Took my complaint up with Vee Rubber head office in Bangkok.

Explained what had happened with my last 2 tyres.

Was blown away when i got an offer of a replacement straight from the factory, sent to my door.

Tyre was sent from Bangkok with DHL Express , at my door in 2 and a half days.

All i had to pay was $20 US all up tyre and ship .(Yep not a typo..$20 )  They marked it down as a sample.

    Not bad for a $300 + tyre.

I have no doubt the tyre is still crap quality, but for $20 will certainly do until mid September until the Avon arrives.

Had to give the company a wrap for there service

    Cheers
