    hello to all,

i have a question to ask about the benifits of using a high flow fuel tap!

i have installed one with a 10mm outlet   but i have notice at the carbie end its 6mm? i have installed a 10mm fuel hose from tap to carbie using a spacer on the carbie L-joint to suit the 10mm hose!

are there still benifits using the high flow tap?

It could be 20mm...but if you have a 6mm restriction with a gravity feed then there is little point in a high flow tap.

If its a stock CV carb , they are good for about 100 - 110hp.
The only reason you might need a high flow tap, is if you run a
Bigger carb with a high HP motor, and do sustained high speed runs.
No need for your setup, but if it was cheep why not !

Forgot to mention, you can get a high flow
Fuel inlet as well, 5/16" from memory (8mm)

Does the highflow tap have an internal filter on it like the old OEM one?

cant say anything more than whats been said but will tell you that you will have a lot less reserve fuel
with the later tanks buy memory I use to get about 30 with the early and about 10 or 12 with late
due to the tank outlet and in your case maybe even less seeing your tap filter/tube  is shorter

when thay mean hiflow  more flow/volume than a oem one maybe do a time test into a container if your worried

Found out today, only about 10 or 15 kms reserve, that sucks! I will have to lift my game and fill before each ride,

coming home with 30 kms left, hit reserve and didn't make it, had to call a friend!
