Got a custom Le Pera bare bones on my ride.  Waited 7 weeks for it!  Love the thing, but damn, every time I take off I slip back, almost to the point where I could fall off and have the bike take off on me!

Any ideas on what I could do to make it less slippery?  Apart from double sided tape or glue!

Not sure there's anything you can do, had the same problem with my mustang solo but it had a removable backrest so that used to stop me sliding off the back. Maybe use the pillion pegs when taking off?!

Perhaps try Windex, might just remove the slippery coating on the Vinyl.

if you drop a few nuts and bolts inside your jocks before you get on the bike the coefficient of friction should increase remarkably. I have never tried it but I cant see why it wouldn't work.

I'd say time in the sun would help, it does with leather but i'm not too sure about le pears as they are vinyl no?

Wash the fucking thing. It prolly has something to keep the leather at it's shiniest on it.

Ha. Yeah never thought of going commando while ridin. Might give that a go!

The seat is leather, not vinyl.

I'll try giving it a wipe and see how things go. It is damn slippery though. And I weight like 120 kgs!

easy fix but it looks fucked. Go to a carpet store, ask for rug grip. It's this dimply stuff to stop rugs slipping one floors, cheap as chips. Lay it on your seat when you ride and you will not move I promise. When you finish the ride roll it up and store for the next ride. It's black so it's hard to see and you only need a small piece.
