Iron 883 2014 Video

    Hi guys,

Picked my 2014 Iron 883 up from the dealership after having a stage 1 upgrade done to it with the tuner Robot sold me and dealer supplied screamin' eagle street cannon exhausts (chrome) and stage 1 air filter. I thought I'd post a video for those who are interested in knowing how loud the exhaust is.

From my brief time with it I can safely say that the quality is excellent and the sound is louder without being obnoxiously loud (I want to continue getting on with my neighbours, police and work place).

The exhaust cost is listed on my invoice at $481.38 and the end cap (stupid thing at the end for the new exhausts) is $137.49. Total cost being $618.87. The black exhaust costs an extra $50 for some reason (I guess power coating is more expensive? Or demand means they can price it higher?).

    Here is the video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ONihZBpDoy8

Sorry about the angle, I haven't rotated it.

    Any questions let me know!

Thanks for posting Wozza! I've been on the phone to dealer today discussing pipe options based on volume & quality so great timing.

For those with the experience, whats the sound / noise comparison of these vs V&H slip ons or SE Slip ons...?

    Hey mate,

Glad it helped. A guy started his Dyna up next to me with V&H shortshots and boy was that ear-splittingly loud. Everyone has their own tolerances with regards to how loud they like an exhaust but for me the V&H are just waaaaay too loud for ordinary use (also the police seem to take offence to those quicker). This is a decent video with the V&H slip ons https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m8LTOZ2mNGE and V&H short shots https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xuaGmI9AsQQ

    Best,

    Woz

It's hard to tell from a video, but the slip-ons actually sound better I reckon. And easy to switch out with stockers if you get pinged.

P.S Does anyone know if the cat converter is in the headers or was in the stock pipes?
