Gday guys ,
i own a 06 streetbob which ive had for just over 2 years , ive done the basics without much input from anyone who has made the same modifications . first up was the obvious for me & that was to get rid of the ape hangers & put a set of straight bars on it , then a screaming eagle tuner & breather , i run those for just over 12 months & then decided to go with a set of short shots & a set of 211 cams , i couldnt be happier with the way the bike runs & definately sounds , its a real head turner .
about the only other things i can think of to make my ride complete at this stage is a set of 11' progressive shocks & a 21' front wheel with 2' over in the forks just to give it that chopper feel , if anyone has any suggestions for further mods id be more than happy to hear them ... im hoping to read some similar stories on hear & compare to my own as well as learn from others mistakes or improvements .
my bike was originally one of the first streetbobs with the 88 ci motor & to date i havent had any of the problems that most other people have had with the earlier model bike ..

Sounds good mate,I've got the same bike(06 streetbob)mines the 96 cube(imported)I've done no mods to it yet but I'll be getting exhaust,air cleaner and tuner done before Xmas but(got no licence till then) I'm thinking big radius or big shots,s/e heavy breather and power vision or tts tuner,been getting a lot of good info off this forum about upgrades,big decision though!with ur s/eagle tuner have you had ur bike on a dyno for tuning or are you just running the hd downloaded map ?? Thanks hopes the weathers good up there it's buetiful here in Mackay!

ive had the bike on the dyno , the boys up here at harley magic in cairns have been great in giving me some ideas & advice as to which way to go , evryone tried to talk me out of the short shots but its shown that with the 88ci it runs perfect with the combo ive put together & ive lost no power at all as most people had told me i would , if anything i reckon it run better with the short shots even before going with the cams .... ive been told the short shots on the 96ci lose a hell of a lot of power . & yes it can be an expensive lesson if you take the wrong advice so be sure of what you want & do some research before purchasing ... good luck with your build ..
