    guys

as ive now got my streetglide and i,m broke again i want to de-cat my pipe.now i can cut it and weld it thats not a problem but my question is what do i do with that bloody valve thing?

if i cut that out do i  just block off the tube connected to it.

what happens then ,do i need to re-tune ? i do not have the air cleaner mod

    thanks

sic thats the way I did it, cut the section out and used the powervision to turn it off in the ecm, you can just use a plug in eliminator if you don't have a tuning device that allows you to turn it off.

And I cut the window to remove the cat on the outside of the pipe so the heat shield covered the weld.

If you dont cut the valve out you will need to some how jam it full open because from memory which isn't good these days it is in the normally closed position and you don't want that.

You may well need to retune it.
    cheers

what did you use for the tune on the old bike? if it was the powervision you can buy a license to use it on the SG

    Max,
it was the powervision and because the deal was done really quick, i still have it but no cables.
ive not been up to see fred yet to see if he supplies cables or whatever so i dont know which way to head yet.
i really want to do the stage 1 complete but i just dont have the funds yet[ to busy putting fuel in her ]

you can get the cables from Serco at Capalaba if you want I think they were about $45 or something like that, for tuning you will need a license $250 for the PV again via Serco. Fred could get them for you if you wanted.
I would probably have the cable here you can have but you will have to wait till the bike is gone, soon I hope
