Well its been a long time coming but we are now accepting orders for the Newest version of Mastertune. This does not replace the current product but it is yet a different version of it that has more features. The new part number is 2000012 and cost is $595.00 USD. What this unit offers, that the current product does not, is 4 additional channels of analog data that can be recorded. These 4 channel are 0 - 8 vdc inputs that the user can hook-up to what they want and can enter the channel information into DataMaster2 so it will record them at the same time as it does all the other information. This allows all features in DataMaster2 to be used with the analog data as well as the rest of the data that is in DataMaster2. Units will begin shipping end of next week. The new unit is in the green cases.

My take on this is the only possible use you may have for this on the street is to log W/B sensors as well as the stock N/B sensors.
But you would still need an external W/B controller.
Possibly drag racers would use the function to log EGT's, and to measure clutch/wheel slip for clutch tuning, but most already have the tools available .

This unit allows for the 4 channels of data to be shown and recorded with all the other ECM data so you can see exactly what is going on frame by frame. This does not exist from anyone else on the HD market. What will it do for the normal bike owner who just wants a tuneup, not much as they really do not care BUT, for the shop owner/Tuner it allows them to see things and do a better job tuning than they could before. It will also allow them to work quicker as all the necessary data is in one place all at one time. While it's not for everyone, it has it's place with Racers and shops we feel.

Steve what about Bluetooth connectivity? I reckon that would be the shit. either Bluetooth from the bike to dongle or dongle to computer.

I have just go me a Ford Ranger and getting the OBDII Bluetooth plug and a APP on a tablet to monitor engine stuff and clear codes, the Ranger uses a CANBUS system.

I know its not Harley but the Bluetooth connectivity would be the biggest thing for us Homie tuners

WE have looked at Bluetooth as well as a few others and while it is something we can do it does add more cost. So we are somewhat on a holding pattern to see what techonoligy changes over the year as there is rumors of a better way coming shortly. So were not sure if it's upgraded Bluetooth, WiFi or what but it a wait and see thing right now.
