    Hi all,

I just fitted a set of sreamin' eagle slip ons to my 2007 street bob, they sound great.  my question is, while i had the bike running and checking for leaks, rattles etc. i noticed that the front baffle in the muffler was red hot; is that normal?  the bike had a big sucker type air cleaner and a very loud 2 into one exhaust on it before and i replace those with the stock air cleaner with a k&n filter and stock headers with the sceanin' eagle slip ons.  i havent had the engine managment system remapped as yet.  the bike looks and sounds and rides great, should i worry about this and is it something that will settle as the mufflers 'run in'?  cheers.

Not sure but it could be the cat and not the baffle. I thought softail had the cats in the mufflers and dynas had them in the headers, but this couldve changed. Then again, I could be completely wrong! Lol.

What is a front baffle? Just when I start to think I have a clue this shit happens.

thanks pete, they could have cats in the mufflers as i bought them secondhand but never been on a bike. so they could be softail mufflers.
