Greetings all, newly registered to the forum but I’ve been a visitor for a while. I have a pretty tidy 92 Heritage I bought in 2010. It’s in really good nick for it’s age with low k's.
I’ve always looked after it well and serviced it, but it has an annoying issue that takes some of the pleasure out of riding it. Once you get up to the 100-110 kph it has an annoying vibration that comes through the footboards, this causes my feet to tingle and sometimes go a bit numb. Not a pleasant sensation on a long ride. I could ride it all day at 80-90, but once over that the vibration kicks in.
Does anyone else have this problem? I really like the old girl and don’t really want to part with her, so I would like to try and sort this issue out. I’ve been considering highway pegs or possibly a set of forward controls, but would like to run this past the forum before I go and try these.
As far as I know the bike has never been bingled and the drive train seems to be well aligned. I don’t know if this is a solid engine mount issue or not, my mate has a 94 Heritage and says his seems fine.
I welcome any and all comments. Cheers and beers, Cazza.
