Hi all, I am hoping this is ok to join this forum and hopefully learn a few things here. I am an Aussie living in Florida and don't actually own a Harley myself. However, what brings me to this site, as I said is to hopefully learn a few things about them. I am in the process of beginning an importing second hand Harleys and Harley parts into Australia. I am hoping to keep pricing down so everyone gets to have the pleasure that comes with "A Good Buy" Any feedback will be appreciated as to the sought after models or parts in demand. Of course feel free to ask me to source a particular part if you need. Regards and thank you for your time. Chrisstiine
Welcome, visiting down Florida soon.Good luck with your new busness venture.
Welcome
Thanks for the welcome and the best wishes with my business venture Keith. Can I ask where abouts you are visiting in Florida ?
Hi Tatt & Nat,
I just wanted to take a min to respond to your comment. As I stated above I didnt know how to post this to the original post, so I would've if I could've.
I am a 50 year old mother of a beautiful 18 year old daughter. We came to Florida just over a year ago. To give you some history and put your "rat" suspicions to rest: What brings me to Florida ? I took my daughter and left Melbourne Australia (Sunbury to be exact) to move as far from my alcoholic exhusband as possible. Without the shitty details, basicially the last time I saw him I had to fight my way out of his hands around my throat. For my daughter she experienced times being called a c**t from her Dad, the "man" that was meant to protect her, the "man" that was meant to make her feel special. This same "man" lives in a $1.2 Million property just outside of Sunbury, runs his own mechanical workshop on Morland Road, Brunswick. My exhusband had a choice, either give up drinking and get help with his addiction or we leave. He chose to keep drinking. We struggled with his addiction for over 20 years of our marriage before I finally took a look at myself and thought "What the hell am I thinking showing my daughter that this is what to expect from a marriage", "Am I telling her that this is what to expect from the man you marry?" I have limited funds and the few funds I have I am putting into a Solicitor in Melbourne to attempt to retrieve the (just over) $25,000 in child support, school fees, dentist bills etc that he refuses to pay, even thou he signed a document to agree to pay child support. So I was sitting here in Florida, when I go to the shops you cant help but see how cheap everything is here compared to back home. I have seen so many cheap bikes, cars, motorhomes etc. So I had a thought, maybe this is something I could do to get some money behind me. Being in a new country at 18 years old has been very difficult for my daughter. She is already shy and unsure of herself so after many attempts at schools here she was showing signs of having a breakdown so I pulled her out and homeschooled her, which is done via our local school. Last month she graduated and I couldnt be more proud. She is still very shy and is feeling lost with getting into the work force so this lightbulb idea came to me to try and see what I could do with selling things back in home. I originally thought of cars, as I said earlier my exhusband is a mechanic, so being around that for 20 odd years I do know a bit about them, but I also know you have a limited time to get a car converted from left hand drive to right hand drive once imported into Australia. So that second lightbulb went off and I thought of bikes. As I stated in the original post, I know nothing about bikes, so I thought maybe coming to a site like this might help, something my daughter and I could do together. So maybe instead of coming to this site for some info on trying to make some money, I should've come and asked if anyone would please go and have a word in my exhusbands ear to stand up to his end of responsibilites on having a child. I paid my taxes in Australia, I worked my whole life there, I in no way feel I am taking from Australia by doing this. I am trying to build a future for myself and my daughter. If you know how, feel free to post this to the original post so it can put other people's mind to rest at whatever scheme etc they feel I may be up too. Both my daughter and I have had way too many tears on our face from the hands of another person, so I now value the calmer life, so its with that, that I wish you the best and thank you for taking the time to read my response. Regards, Christine.
Not even a welcome ?
